Known for its stunning architecture, rich history, and vibrant culture, Paris is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Europe. One of the first things you should do when visiting Paris is to explore its many iconic landmarks. The Eiffel Tower is perhaps the most famous of these landmarks and is a must-see attraction for anyone visiting the city. If you are ever lucky enough to visit Paris, it’s a place that is exactly how you imagined it. I’m sure everyone has a sense of how Paris is in their heads because of how it’s portrayed in movies, television, magazines, blogs or even in Vegas. Yes, it’s a beautiful city full of lights. Yes, romance envelops the air in the evenings. Yes, the lovely accordion music wraps itself around you and hugs you. Life in Paris just seems so effortless, easy, and in the moment. Parisians know how to put the extra touch of beauty or ‘umph’ into things that make the city so special.
I loved my visits to the city of lights. When you’re there, you have to checkout those crowded tourist spots because they are the iconic symbols of the city. Who doesn’t know about the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Notre Dame, or Versailles? Paris is steeped in so much history and there are numerous venues that pay homage to that tradition and heritage. After you get through the ‘must sees’ and if you have time, you can meander through the streets of different arrondissiments to get to know the city at a more intimate level. I’m really psyched to get another chance to go back and live like a local for a few days. I want to sit in an airy café and just people watch and enjoy a cup of joe. I want to have a picnic at one of the beautiful gardens or parks in the city. I want to explore the back roads on a bike. I want to treasure hunt through the renowned flea markets. Most of all, I’m looking forward to stuffing my face with buttery croissants, yummy stinky cheese, delicious French pastries, and some nice wine.
